Dotties Doghouse
Boarding Kennels,Cattery&Pet Grooming
Vaccination Requirements; DHPPi vaccine
Nobivac DHPPi provides immunisation of dogs against canine distemper, hepatitis (canine adenovirus), canine parvovirus and canine parainfluenza and is typically given in combination with a Nobivac leptospirosis vaccine (Nobivac Lepto2 or L4).
Nobivac L4 is used to vaccinate dogs from six weeks of age to reduce the risk of developing an infection with certain Leptospira strains. Leptospirosis disease in dogs results in bleeding, hepatitis (infection of the liver) and jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes) or nephritis (kidney infection).
The Bordetella vaccine( OR Kennel Cough) is a noncore vaccine that is given to dogs that are frequently exposed to other dogs in boarding or social settings. Canine facilities, such as dog daycare centers, boarding kennels, shows, dog parks, and training classes often require dogs to have the vaccine. This is because Bordetella bronchiseptica is the most common bacterial agent responsible for kennel cough in dogs.
The Kennel Cough must be administered 30 days before entry to the kennels .
No dog will be accepted and will be turned away if vaccination are not up to date. No exceptions.
If your dog/cat was NOT vaccinated last year and it will have to restart its vaccinations. This means initial shots and a return visit to vet in 3-4 weeks for boosters.. dogs/cats will NOT be accepted unless the time frame is correct.
